The Dean of Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Mazen Hawaz Abdul-Rida, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Haitham Hussein Ali, and the respected Assistant Professor, Dr. Sadiq Hassan Kazem, participated in the Seventh Conference on Nuclear Medicine, which was organized by the Iraqi Society for Medical Research and Studies in Basra Governorate, with the participation of the Doctors Syndicate, Health Department, Basra University and representatives from the Provincial Council
This conference was held for the first time in the governorate, in the presence of many oncologists, general surgeons, urologists, and children. During it, the latest scientific findings in nuclear medicine were presented and the latest devices used in diagnosing and treating cancerous diseases were presented, and this specialty will seriously contribute to improving services. Medical services provided to patients, reducing time and effort for patients and doctors, as well as developing the scientific and practical performance of medical and nursing staff in a manner consistent with the increase in population in the governorate. It was also proposed during the conference that Basra Governorate will witness the opening of a new center for nuclear medicine at the end of the current year.
